We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at the Vines Hotel with our 6-year-old son. The charming garden and sun terrace were perfect for relaxation, allowing us to unwind while our son played. The nearby Kelmscott Manor and St Mary's Church offered good excursions, enhancing our family bonding time.

It is undoubtedly a pleasant and fabulous option when you are in Alvescot. It's good base for sightseeing and exploring Alvescot. The breakfast is generous, the staff are decent. The hotel has a peaceful and best possible location next to self serve area.

Magnificent and unbeatable location, in the nice garden. Based so close to nearby attractions, especially Cotswold Wildlife, the restaurant except for two different types of frozen pizza and nearest pub which fortunately served good food. Nice building and rooms with tea and coffee.

The parking issue at the hotel was handled poorly, which left a bad impression. Make sure to check the weather and parking rules before arriving.

Excellent restaurant.
Rather an odd room layout and strange shower rooms which reminded me of a sports club changing room communal shower.

The choice on the menu was only small but very good. Staff were very obliging. Price of food and drink were fair.
The room was in an annex which was not explained. Also the room lacked some basic needs ie draw space for clothes. The annex was very warm with no air con.

The room we got was next to the bins, and it smelled awful. Plus, there was a shower that leaked everywhere, and the heating didn't work. The whole place felt outdated and dirty, honestly disappointing for the price we paid.

Very convenient for Brize. Lovely setting right next to a 12th century church.Quiet apart from the odd raf plane in the day.We slept in the purpose- built annexe just behind the main building. We had the cooked breakfast both mornings but chose to eat at the Plough in Alvescot on the saturday.Beware, pubs in this area don't serve food on sunday evening when trade drops off after the tourists have gone home. We drove into Witney (15mins max) and ate at The Three Horseshoes - excellent meal. The room was comfortable with a Queen bed which would have benefited from a fitted bottom sheet as the sheet on wouldn't stretch to being tucked under.Would stay again.

They made you feel very welcome, and you felt nothing would of been to much trouble. Lovely peaceful area, very pretty village. The food in the evenings was excellant and reasonably priced, breakfast that was included in the room rate was filling.

The location was quite nice, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like the Crocodiles of the World. My stay in the Double Room was comfortable, although the room decor was a bit tired and could use some updates. I appreciated the lovely staff at the bar who were incredibly helpful in suggesting activities in the area, which enhanced our experience. it was a decent stay, but I expected a bit more considering the pricing.
